Yesterday Was A Great Day!
Bowling for Soup - Today Is Gonna Be A Great Day There's a hundred and four days of summer vacation, 'Till school comes along just to end it, So the annual problem for our generation, Is finding a good way to spend it Like maybe...
Building a rocket, or fighting a mummy, Or climbing up the Eiffel tower, Discovering something that doesn't exist, Or giving a monkey a shower Surfing tidal waves, creating nano-bots, Or locating Frankenstein's brain, Finding a Dodo bird, painting a continent, Or driving our sister insane
This could possibly be the best day ever, And the forecast says that tomorrow will likely be a million and six times better, So make every minute count jump up, jump in and seize the day, And let's make sure that in every single possible way, Today is Gonna to Be a Great Day!
Crossing the tundra or building a roller coaster. Skiing down a mountain of beans, Devising a system for remembering everything, Or synchronizing submarines, racing chariots, Taming tiger sharks, constructing a portal to mars, Building a time machine, stretching a rubber tree, or wailing away on guitars,
This could possibly be the best day ever, And the forecast says that tomorrow will likely be a million and six times better, So make every minute count to one, Jump in and cease the day, And let's make sure that in every single possible way, Today is Gonna to Be a Great Day!
Let's put our heads together and design a master plan, We may miss dinner, but I know mom will understand... We got our mission and suppliers, purple gumballs and desires, A pocket full of rubber bands, the manual on handstands, A unicycle compass, and a camera that wont focus, And canteen full of soda, grab a beach towel here we go! (this is Ferb-tastic)
This could possibly be the best day ever, And the forecast says that tomorrow will likely be a million and six times better, So make every minute count to one, jump in and cease the day, And let's make sure that in every single possible way Today is Gonna to Be a Great Day!
(Seriously this is gonna be great day)
This could possibly be the best day ever (Today's Gonna be a Great Day) This could possibly be the best day ever (Today's Gonna be a Great Day)
[Post begins here] I'm officially twenty-two. Posted the above song as I felt it was the best song to describe my birthday. And also, since I've been watching the cartoon. It's an awesome show!
Met up with Cynthia dear to catch KungFu Panda 2. Although I didn't watch the the first movie, I liked the second installment nonetheless. It was quite funny and I really had a good laugh. And Baby Po was really cute. Oh, I forgot to mention. I used my Passion Card yesterday at Cathay cinemas for the very first time since it gives cheaper rates for the tickets. I was surprised to know that it came with a free popcorn. But here's the thing, when we got the popcorn, it was a real jaw dropper. It was a really small one. Well, at least that answers for why it is free.
After the movie, I randomly told dear that 老师's house (also HikariMusic School, our music school) was really close since we were at AMK Hub. Next thing I know, we were making our way there. She actually planned for us to celebrate my birthday at his house with Coleman老师, Shue Ting, Jonathan, Da Xin and Shi Tat. We ate pizza and cake (thanks to Da Xin who paid for the cake). It was a nice and small party. Dear had to leave earlier but I stayed around to chat away with the rest. By the time we decided to leave, it was already 2:30am. Thankfully, Shue Ting offered a car ride back although they stayed at Tampines.
I thank all who wished me yesterday. Especially to dear, 老师, Shue Ting, Jonathan, Da Xin and Shi Tat for the celebration. It was awesome to me. Let's hope the remainder of the year would be great! Cheerios everyone! [Post ends here]

Before He Was...
I must say, it still feels rather wierd (but definitely, nice) to be able to really go back to sleep when you wake up early, to have access to the laptop, to eat home-cooked food and not to forget, try and figure out what you want to do for the day. And to be honest, I found out it was a really hard thing to do. So, I just went on with whatever option was available. Which lead me to a game of badminton with Wei Siong. And seriously, my muscle aches. Guess I ought to be exercising more often now that I'm out of NS. I hardly got to work out after BMT and sadly, I have gained back most of the weight. I need to lose all of it. But all this slacking during unit life really has some effects on one mentally. I'm determine to overcome it. I am just not really sure if I can really lose all that weight, and hopefully, even more.
Based on the title, some of you might have figured out (actually, I get the feeling no one's reading. Afterall, my blog hasn't been updated for so darn long) that I'm referring to the new movie "X-men: First Class". Just watched it yesterday and I've got to say, I felt it was absolutely wonderful. The origins. The beginnings. Of the whole X-men saga.
Other than being a great movie, I felt that it was, in some sense, rather thought provoking too. If you noticed, the underlying purposes of Charles Xavier (aka Professor X) and Erik Lehnsherr (aka Magneto) are really one the same. Although, Professor X believes in co-existing with the human kind while Magneto believes that mutants are the "Homo Superiors" and that they should rule over humans; by doing so, both sides are actually just hoping to protect their own kind.
One by protecting, one by destroying.
What, you may ask, justifies the difference in the ideology of the method used? In fact, you might even ask why. Well, that leads to the analysis and study of each individuals' upbringing and experiences when they were youths. And Professor X was definitely the luckier of the two. Having grew up in a wealthy family and being able to receive education, you can say he has led a relatively good life. Unlike Magneto, who had to survive the holocaust. His upbringing gives him the concept that all humans are evil and that they should pay for their discrimination and sins. He lived in agony, rage and hatred. Thus, I would not say Magneto is a villain which is how his image has been pictured. A maniac trying to rule over all humans. For a youth, the experiences he has had to go through justifies his mistrust of humans. He is just fighting a war with the same purpose as Professor X. It's really just a difference in the ideology and methods used based on youth experiences, memories and etc.
[This part was added at 11:41am] Which brings me to the point. Would it be wrong to say that we, humans, brought the misfortune on ourselves? Afterall, at the very ending part of the movie, if the leaders of both nations had not decided that they would take mutants as a threat and decide to launch a combined, all-out attack on the mutants, wouldn't they have averted such a war? Magneto might not have been an entity of evil but might be part of Professor X's academy. A co-leader and an educator to their younger kind. Yeah, I guess that wouldn't be much of a story to work on for sequels and stuff. But just wanted to explore a different branch to the story. An alternate reality.
Anyway, back to the point. I feel that many a times, some of the disasters which have been happened are really just we, humans' fault. Look at history and you would see it. Discrimination is still rampant in our societies. This discrimination creates agony, rage and hatred. In turn, it creates another "Magneto". Some "bad guys" don't just become "bad guys" overnight. It could have been the manifestation of years of pent-up agony, rage and hatred. [End of addition to post]
I guess my brain's shutting down soon. I really wanted to blog more but my brain just ain't working. Well, I guess I better go to bed soon. My head's already whirling. Good night all. Till next time. Out.

3 letters. O-R-D!
It's been 1 year, 3 months and 2 days since I last blogged. In fact, I have even forgotten my password and had to reset my password. Buggeration!
That aside, as you probably could have guessed from the title, today is the day. I am now an Operationally Ready NSmen. Freedom, as many have put it. A Damn Headache is what I would give as a second name.
Yes, it does feel great to be finally out of the army after two years and jump right back into life as a civilian. But it's precisely the part about jumping right back into life as a civilian that is the problem. As the date drew closer, all I had in mind was "What next?!". To make it worst, NTU rejected my application for the third time. No entry into University. Check.
Thankfully, and with lots of confusion, I am being shortlisted for an interview with MOE to become a Teacher. The confusing part is the fact that I applied for the position in-line with course that I was applying for in NTU (namely, Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science). It's an oppurtunity nonetheless, and I am definitely going to give it a shot. And since I have tutored my neighbour's kids, younger cousins and not to mention, my Polytechnic classmates before, I am going to tell myself I am up for it. Wish me luck!
Intended to keep this shorter but I guess I just have a thing for blogging. Much has changed over these two years but I pray to keep this blog alive. And I hope I do. It's strange but I am just wondering what Mandy has to say when he sees that I have updated my blog. LOL! That's all for now. Out.

[Post begins here] It's been so long since I last posted anything. My life has changed over the past few months. Although not many in quantity, but much in the quality and significance.
One of the few things would be that driving course is over (a few weeks back ago). It was really fun, aside from the scoldings and the few lousy people you get to meet from it. Ever since, I have been reporting back to STC (with the other Transport Supervisors) and awaiting for my posting to unit. Life as of now isn't bad, it just can get a little too boring and fattening. Because all we pretty much do is just sit around, wait for lunch, eat lunch, sit around. Other than that, sleeping or playing Monopoly are pretty much your only other few options. Well, and there are always your trustworthy pals to talk to. My friendship with a few of them have grown over the driving course. It's nice talking about stuff which are both serious and crappy with them. And not to mention, laughing over the stupid things.
This kind of life would probably end soon. Rumors are flying everywhere that the postings would be out by either tomorrow or the end of the week. Have been hoping recently to be able to get into a camp which will allow me to stay-out. As for why, go figure.
Going to end this post here. I regret for being unable to share more details but there ARE some things which are best left not talked about for the moment. When the time is ripe, all shall be revealed. Till then, that's all for this one. [Post ends here]

Jason Mraz feat. Colbie Caillat - Lucky
Jason Mraz feat. Colbie Caillat - Lucky Do you hear me? I'm talking to you Across the water across the deep blue ocean Under the open sky, oh my, baby I'm trying
Boy I hear you in my dreams I feel your whisper across the sea I keep you with me in my heart You make it easier when life gets hard
I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend Lucky to have been where I have been Lucky to be coming home again Ooh ooh ooh
They don't know how long it takes Waiting for a love like this Every time we say goodbye I wish we had one more kiss I'll wait for you I promise you, I will
I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend Lucky to have been where I have been Lucky to be coming home again
Lucky we're in love in every way Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed Lucky to be coming home someday
And so I'm sailing through the sea To an island where we'll meet You'll hear the music fill the air I'll put a flower in your hair
Though the breezes through trees Move so pretty you're all I see As the world keeps spinning 'round You hold me right here, right now
I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend Lucky to have been where I have been Lucky to be coming home again
I'm lucky we're in love in every way Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed Lucky to be coming home someday
Ooh ooh ooh Ooh ooh ooh, ooh
[Post begins here] Merry christmas to all.
I guess I have spent my best christmas so far if not for needing to book-in later tonight. Oh well, don't want to nag about it.
Driving has been fine and sometimes, rather fun. But I seriously can't wait for this course to be over.
The year 2009 is ending. Let's welcome 2010. Cheers everyone. [Post ends here]
[Post begins here] Transport supervisor course is ending this coming Monday and I am going to be clearing my outstanding leave until the start of the driving course. Not really sure how the hell I am going to spend it though. It's been like ages since I had so much time off from the army.
Don't think I have much that I want to or can post about. In fact, I am just trying to spend my time in whatever way I can since I'm still awake. Well, December's drawing closer and it only means another year is passing us by. Praying for better stuff to happen in the year to come, for me and everyone around me.
Signing off. 给你自由 我的温柔 [Post ends here]
